We are positive that 2018 will be a great year. We are excited to work with you as this year continues to move forward. We would like to share some recent successes that we have had. We look forward to assisting you with your success story this year.

Moving Through Obstacles

SRT moves a 237MT generator and a 110MT turbine for a project that was several years in the making. Size was a challenge with the generator and SRT worked with the customer and the railroad to come up with a plan that would enable the generator to be delivered as close as possible to the final destination without major design modification. Though there were several obstacles due to the size of the shipment, ultimately the pieces were delivered safely and the project was a success.

Saving Time & Money

We've all been told that there is no need to reinvent the wheel. In any industry, it becomes a dollar and cents issue that can effect the bottom line. SRT has been moving individual shipments of Transformers in the North East part of the US over the last several months. During the initial phases of preparation, our operations team saw an opportunity to save time and costs. Fabricating counterweights for each shipment can drive costs up. With the help of our field supervisor and engineers, we created a unique counterweight frame that could easily be clopped to the deck of the railcar. These counterweights have been used throughout all the shipments. We have saved on materials, labor, time, and most importantly cost. This is just another example of SRT's forward thinking.
