PowerGen 2015

In December, SRT-TS exhibited in the 2015 PowerGen conference held in Las Vegas, NV. The show was a success with almost 25,000 attendees! This show has exhibitors that cover every aspect of the Power market. We find this show beneficial and informative in gaining understanding of current market conditions as well as future trends for the industry. We had the opportunity to meet with many current customers as well as new customers. We are looking forward to the 2016 show which will be held in Orlando, Flordia.

Turn-Key Service Provided by SRT-TS

A recent project had us transport four columns each - 43' 6 x 4' 6 x 4' 6 x 194,421 lbs. COlumns were manufactured in Houston, TX for a large press addition to a metal forging facility in the Midwest. These columns were transported OTR to the Port of Houston, loaded onto rail cars, secured and railed to the metal forge facility. SRT-TS managed this turn-key project from loading the trucks at the manufacturer, trans loading at the Port, to final delivery via rail at the destination.

SRT-TS Handles Cargo to Canada

SRT-TS handled the rail movenet of a crated generator from the Port of Charleston, SC to Sudbury, ON. The generator came in on a ship that was loaded with a lot of other project cargo to be discharged at the port. Time was of the essence to get the generator discharged to rail, secured, inspected and pulled as there were concerns about possible delays due to recent storms and damage to the rail infrastructure as a result of floogin in the area. There were some anticipated challenges to secure the piece to the rail in part to it being crated, however with Bob Staples' coordination with out customer, SRT was able to come up with a securement plan that worked. The project was a success with SRT delivering the generator on time and within budget.
