Specialized Rail Review December 2014

Successful 2014 PowerGen Conference

The 2014 PowerGen conference was held in Orlando, FL this month. This year's event featured a trade show, as well classes and seminars executed by respected experts in the business of power generation. This year's conference drew a record crowd of industry professionals and we look forward to networking with customers and industry professionals again next year.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

SRT recently handled the transportation of a transformer moving from the southeast to the northeast. This move presented SRT crews with various challenges on rail and over the road. Working in the snow, rain and mud proved to be an obstacle. But, the work was executed safely and the equipment was delivered on time and damage free.

Planning ahead leads to perfect execution.

SRT recently had the opportunity to provide a transportation solution for over-dimensional vessels from a mid-point in the Northwest. Railcar modifications and creative engineering were used secure the vessels to railcars. The pieces were delivered safely and on time for the customer.

A Christmas Message from our President

I am writing this 1 week from Christmas and 2 weeks from the beginning of a new year. Reflecting back on the events this year, SRT has been working on positive changes. We realize that our business is changing and we will adapt to the new environment. SRT established new Vision, Mission and Value statements.
